The Nelson Quarry has been Burlington's main source of aggregate for more than 50 years.

​

Its limestone forms the foundation of nearly every road and building in the City.

​

Under its current license, the quarry expects to operate at least another 50 years before being transferred to private ownership.

​

If its new application is accepted, the quarry would operate for another 30 years and be transferred to the public in phases to form Burlington's largest park.
