On May 14, 2020 Nelson Aggregates submitted its application to expand the Burlington Quarry. The application consists of 19 independent studies and is the culmination of 1.5 years of research. The studies conclude "The proposed Burlington Quarry Extension is located where policy anticipates extraction to occur; appropriately balances economic, environmental and social considerations; and represents good planning taking into account provincial, regional and municipal planning policies.” Links to all of the studies and materials are located below.
